MigFoRest project partners have started installing educational billboards along public paths bordering several assisted migration plots. These panels explain the concept of assisted migration and provide site-specific information on the tree species and provenances being deployed.
Placed directly in the field, the billboards help visitors understand how assisted migration supports forest adaptation to climate change and what is being planted at each location.
The first installations were carried out by project partners at:
- Petite Charnie (Sarthe, France) – NeoSylva
- Ten Haagdoornheide (Kempen, Belgium) – INBO
- Gesves (Belgium) – SRFB
These installations turn the sites into open-air information points for the public.
